Time Flows Along

I did this assignment for an art therapy grief and loss class. I drew this in response to an art documentary about a man who does artwork that's made completely out of nature. I forgot the guy's name though 0_0.

Name: Time Flows Along
Media: Oil pastels on white paper

Ethnicity portrait

Here's a portrait I did for my multicultural issues class. I drew my portrait off to the side, in the background is the road of my life, and the images around it represent all the things that my family and friends and experiences have gave me to make me into the person I am today.

Some Sketchbook Action

So I have to keep a sketchbook for my Studio Art Therapy class, and here's some doodles I've done in it!

This is Not the Beginning

This is technically not the beginning of my art pieces that I've created throughout my art therapy journey (if you remember seeing the Papa Smurf portrait, I technically drew that piece for my intro to AT class). But this is the start of me making art in response to my feelings and emotions. This piece was drawn in response to my struggles with doubt over whether or not I'm going to be a good art therapist. Literally, this piece represents me trying to listen to my heart tell me what to do in the face of doubt. My ear represents, well, hearing, the heart represents my heart going cold and not being able to speak, and the thought bubble with the muddled form of a flower bud represents my dreams of being an art therapist becoming muddled in the face of all this doubt. I will eventually make a companion piece that represents me actually listening to my heart <3. Hope you like it!
